William Morris may get the credit, but Golden Lily belongs to his protégé. Designed in 1899 by John Henry Dearle — three years after Morris's death — it has become one of the most beloved and enduringly popular patterns of the entire Arts & Crafts movement. Swirling acanthus leaves, tulips, and lilies in soft, elegant tones: it's the kind of design that looks like it's always been there, because in many ways, it has.

Woven in a rich tapestry of eco-dyed yarn, the detail is remarkable for something that fits in your pocket. Two compartments keep cards and coins organised, while the double clasp frame — finished in rose gold-tone — opens and closes with a satisfying click. The interior is lined with coordinating patterned nylon, and the easy-care PU leather trim means it stays looking good with minimal fuss.
